=Introduction=
The Dragino MS12 has two indepedent network interfaces: Wifi and Ethernet. 

You can set up Wifi Interface in different modes such as:
*'''Wifi AP mode''': so the Dragino will act as a normal Wifi router.
*'''AP client mode''': when set in this mode, the Dragino works like a "Laptop", it becomes the client of another Wifi AP and access to internet through this AP. 
*'''Ad-hoc''': This mode is normally used in Mesh Networking. 

For the Ethernet interface, you can set up it as a WAN interface for internet connection or a gateway of a Local Area Network. 

=Configure via GUI=
Through Dragion GUI you can easy set up belows:
*Switch Internet connection between Wifi and Ethernet ports.
*Configure IP for Internet connection. 
*Configure gateway IP for Local Area Network.

==Wifi Interface==
The default Wifi Interface in Dragino software is set up to used in AP client mode. 
===Works in AP Client Mode===
When work as a Wifi AP client, the Dragino like a PC, it will get the IP from your wifi router. You can configure via the Web interface. as below:

===Set up MS12 as Access Point===
To set up Dragino as an Access Point, you have to change below files:

root@dragino-1a7f76:~# vi /etc/config/wireless
 config wifi-iface
        option device      wifi0
        option network     wan
        option mode        ap               --> ap means AP mode
        option nosbeacon   1
        option hidden      0
        option ssid        dragino
        option encryption  wep
        option key         4ae56b7820f6b6b3cba78da46b    --> WEP password

root@dragino-1a7f76:~# vi /etc/config/network
 config interface wan
        option ifname   ath0
        option proto    static
        option ipaddr   192.168.10.1
        option netmask  255.255.255.0

 config interface lan
        option ifname   eth0
        option proto    dhcp           --> use lan port to connect to your router and get a DHCP IP.

/etc/config/firewall:
 config zone
        option name             lan
        option input    ACCEPT
        option output   ACCEPT
        option forward  REJECT
        option masq             1
        option mtu_fix  1

 config zone
        option name             wan
        option input    ACCEPT
        option output   ACCEPT
        option forward  REJECT

 config forwarding
        option src      wan
        option dest     lan

==Ethernet Interface==
The default setting for the Dragino ethernet port is use as LAN interface and have a IP 192.168.255.1/24. This LAN interface provide the internet connection for the devices who connect to this interface.

Detail of how to configure the LAN interface to work for different network enviroment such as PPPOE, PPTP , WAN port can be find in [http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/network OpenWrt Network Setting]

we also provide some configure samples here for reference.

===Configure ethernet port as WAN port===
In the case if you don't have wifi connection to internet. You can configure the ethernet port of Dragino to work as a WAN port and connect it to your router to have give internet access to Dragino. configure is as below:

in the file /etc/config/network, modify the lan interface setting as below:
 # Copyright (C) 2006 OpenWrt.org
 config interface lan
        option proto    static
        option ipaddr   192.168.1.207             
        option netmask  255.255.255.0           
        option gateway  192.168.1.254 
        option dns      202.96.134.133

then run:
 root@dragino:~# /etc/init.d/network restart

to restart the network.
